The Dickensian Fayre proved to be as popular as ever in December, with dry weather, lots of people, fun & games At the last minute were let down by Ebor Brass Band that had played over the previous 3/4 years – so we had a gap that due to short notice we were struggling to fill – so a big Thank You to Mile Sibley & the 4 youngsters aged between 12 & 16 that stepped in & did a couple of slots for us. We appreciated & enjoyed the music!! Thank you to the team that came & helped set up & take down the marquees at the end – this really did make a difference, and thanks to all the groups, stall holders & helpers that made it the success that it was!
We are now preparing for the carnival which will be held on June 24th & 25th. This will be our 15th Carnival – the 1st being to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee in 2002 – so lets make it another carnival to remember!!! If you have any ideas for the carnival, want to get involved or have a stall please contact us. We hold meetings at the Methodist Chapel the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7-30!
