Open Garden and Carnival 2014

Riccall Open Garden’s.

Thanks to all the gardeners for giving up their time and getting involved in this years Open Garden. Thank you to all of you who came and supported us on the afternoon and helped us raise much needed funds for St Leonard’s Hospice.

We are pleased to say we raised a grand total of  £1221.20

Riccall Carnival

 A successful carnival despite the weather on the Saturday afternoon, thank you for all the organisations that took part in the event. To those of you who supported the raffle well done to the winners and sorry for those who didn’t – us included.

Carnival 2014

Preparations are well in hand for this years Carnival which will be held on the last weekend in June. As it is the weekend prior to the start of the Tour De France – there will be various events  along the cycle track – from the Knavesmire   to Riccall,  We are continuing the theme at the carnival as well as remembering the start of the First world war – 100 years ago.

So get your bikes out and come and join us. Have you a very old bike, a limited edition/rare bike, a tandem, penny farthing etc that can be displayed on the day. Why not decorate your bike and come along in period costume from 1914!

Back by popular demand children and adults races, welly throwing and a tug of war! (to be confirmed)
