Treasure Trails York & Humber. We are based in Riccall, and we create guided walks/car journeys/cycle rides which have either a murder mystery, treasure hunt or spy mission mystery to solve along the way. We can create tailor-made Trails for birthdays, hen parties and other special occasions. We can also arrange team building or social events with a difference. We are very keen to work with local schools and education providers to organise fun educational projects themed around treasure hunts and Treasure Trails. They are also particularly suitable for Cubs, Scouts and Guides, as they offer appropriate activities for badge requirements. Riccall Archive is operated by a small group of volunteers who are trying to collect and preserve the history of our village and district. We have over 600 digital images stored on a computer at Riccall Regen Centre. There are also maps and local history booklets in the Archive along with a small library of donated books of local and historical interest. We put on displays and presentations at the Carnival for you to enjoy. Various projects are being researched such as ‘ Riccall in 1906 ‘ a snapshot of the village people and properties as recorded in the 1906 Parish Poor Rate Survey, ‘Riccall Charities’, ‘Public Rights of Way’, and ongoing family history studies. Please join the group and help to preserve our village history. You could tell your story and have it preserved for future generations in the Archive. Your photographs can help tell the story of our village as it is now. Please get on touch and get involved.Email us or phone – 01757248813 – Katy – Archive Secretary
